God of War in TV series: Amazon Prime Video behind the project?

The Adventures of Kratos could soon arrive on the small screen. Amazon Prime Video is said to be in negotiations with PlayStation to create a God of War series, one of PlayStation’s most legendary franchises.

Amazon would be interested in God of War to adapt the license into a TV series for its Prime Video service. Started in 2005 with the release of the first game, the franchise quickly established itself as one of PlayStation’s biggest.

The latest installment, God of War, is considered one of the best PlayStation 4 games. The game has also been ported to PC this year in 4K with DLSS. After the Fallout series with Jonathan Nolan, the first episode of which will be produced this year, Amazon would therefore like to take control of the rights to Sony’s flagship license.

According to a new report from Deadline, Amazon Prime Video is in negotiations with PlayStation to create a live-action series based on God of War. It would therefore only be a matter of time before seeing Kratos and his son Atreus land on the small screen.
